Ab's Drive-In

About us

Ab's Country Inn, as it was known back in the day was started in 1951 by Ab & Dot Beutler in Hunter, Utah (now West Valley). We started out in a rented tin shack with the roof being held down by railroad ties. The second building was erected in 1952, it was a cinder block building with no dining room.

Then in 1953 a dining room extension was added to the original building. Ab's Country Inn served steaks, homemade pies and "The Fat Boy" that is still on the menu today. Ab brewed his own root beer and served it in glass mugs. Ab's operated in the same location on 3500 South until 2003, when we built & moved to our current location on 5600 West.

Over the years we have gone through many changes - with the exception that we have always cooked to order and have been doing hand-cut fries since day one. We are still the same business that cares about the community we work and live in. We treat our customers like friends and neighbors and hope your experience is a positive one, every time.
